I grew up with Ed Emberley's books. I remember devouring his drawing books especially.
He was extremely prolific. Throughout his career, he experimented with different styles and mediums. There is a great interview with Ed Emberley where he speaks about his need to just keep making books.
I specifically remember his woodcut works, like Paul Bunyan.
I'm working on my own book at the moment. I'm trying not to make it too precious and agonize over every little detail.
